尊敬的陈履生馆长、各位嘉宾:Dear Mr. Chen Lyusheng, distinguished guests,
晚上好！今天受邀来到富有文化艺术气息的邮票王国——列支敦士登，参加陈履生先生的“文·文人·文人画”画展开幕式，我深感荣幸。我认识陈先生超过20多年，陈先生是国家级的画家、摄影家和收藏家，备受我们的尊敬。Good evening! It’s a privilege for me today to be invited to Liechtenstein, the Kingdom of stamps full of cultural andartistic atmosphere, to attend the opening ceremony of Mr. Chen’s art show, ‘Literature, Literati, Literati Paintings’. I have known Mr. Chen for more than 20 years. He is a well-esteemed national painter, photographer and collector.
他的作品一直专注“文人艺术”和“中西文化融合”的发展，努力维系中国传统文人画的特色，同时加上西方的绘画技巧，因此，从陈先生的作品中可以见到“中西糅合”的“你中有我，我中有你”的艺术结晶。His works have been focusing on the development of ‘literati art’ and the ‘fusion of Chinese and western cultures’, and make great efforts to maintain the traditional Chinese literati paintingfeatures coupled with western drawing skills. So, Mr. Chen’s art works capturethe quintessence of art by integrating the Chinese and western styles.
我特别欣赏陈先生引用孔子的一句话：“君子务本，本立而道生”，充分体现了陈先生在题材上不断探索和发展，具有中国与西方、传统与创新相互调和融会的珍贵价值。文人画虽非我个人收藏的品项，对于这方面的艺术认识也相当有限，不过我认为中国的文人画，必然会走出一条新的路向，而陈先生正是这方面的代表人物。In particular, I favor one quote fromConfusion, ‘a gentleman should always put his basic principle first, which willilluminate the way forward’, which fully reflects Mr. Chen’s continuous exploration and development on the art subject matters and precious value inmutual harmony and integration of Chinese and western traditions andinnovation. I personally don’t collect literati paintings, not to mention the knowledge of this aspect of art is quite limited. But I believe a new path forour Chinese literati painting will certainly be blazed and Mr. Chen is therepresentative figure in this regard.
